Christian Lindholm Biography
Christian is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Aalto University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship while he is incubating ideas in wearables and helping other start-ups achieve design excellence. He is also a founder and chairman of Tech21 (www.tech21.de), a creator of novel touch and force sensor. Previously he was Fjord’s Chief Innovation Officer. He still serves on the board of Fjord and as an advisor to the management team. He headed Yahoo’s mobile product team in the early phase of mobile Internet.
As one of the digital and mobile design industry’s true gurus, being nicknamed the godfather of mobile phone users by Finland’s leading newspaper Helsingin Sanomat for his groundbreaking work making mobiles easy to use. His innovations has been seen in well over a billion Nokia phones and his Navi-key interface made texting and phoning familiar to around 7% of the human population.
Christian has a master's degree in Economics from Hanken, the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki, Finland. I have worked as a visiting researcher at the Centre for Design Management at London Business School, where he publish a couple papers on product development in Strategy Review. His research interest lies in understanding how design, technology, usability and marketing affect product success in emerging markets where no dominant design has been established.
He is an active commentator of the digital and mobile future for publications like Wired, BusinessWeek, GigaOm, Financial Times. He appears often on conference stages speaking on mobility, service design , lately had several talks about future of mHealth.
My passion is sailing, cuisine. Love to eat authentic food, plain or fancy, cooking is something I love to do with my family. The ultimate dish for me is scrambled eggs. Universal example of creativity and simplicity.
